Join the Stampede!
The Mayor's OP 5K Farmstead Stampede will be Aug. 16 at the Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead, 138th and Switzer.
It is hosted by the City of Overland Park and the Friends of the Farmstead.
The competitive 5K race will use CHIP timing and begins at 7:30 a.m. A non-competitive 5K run/walk will follow. Strollers are welcome, but pets are not.

Registration
You can register for the Farmstead Stampede online (there is a $3 processing fee for online registrations) or by downloading an entry form and waiver (.pdf file) and returning it to the Farmstead, 138th and Switzer, by Aug. 11.
The cost is $20 through Aug. 13 ($25 after Aug. 13).
Kids 12 and under are $10. No corporate entries.
Printed entry forms also can be mailed to the Farmstead, c/o Farmstead Stampede, at 8500 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, KS, 66212. They, too, must be received by Aug. 11.
A registration form and waiver must be received for all participants.
NOTE: The race director has sole discretion of race proceedings due to weather. No refunds will be given, and any entry fees paid will be considered donations to the Farmstead.
Packet Pick up
Pre-race packet pick-up and registration will be Thursday and Friday, Aug. 14 and 15, between 4 and 8 p.m. at Gary Gribbles, 11908 W. 119th St., Overland Park.
Race day registration and packet pick-up will be the morning of the race between 6 and 7 a.m.
Prizes
The top overall male and female will receive cash prizes of $100, $75 or $50, respectively. The top master male and master female will receive gift certificates.
In addition, awards will be given to the top 3 males and females in the following age divisions:
- 14 and under
- 15-19
- 20-24
- 25-29
- 30-34
- 35-39
- 40-44
- 45-49
- 50-54
- 55-59
- 60-64
- 65-69
- 70-74 and
- 75+
In order to be eligible for any awards, you must be registered for the competitive 5K and be wearing the correct chip.
