The city is currently working on the 2008 Street Improvement (Thoroughfare Overlay) Program on:

• 119th Street, U.S. 69 west to Pflumm

Improvements will include 2-inch mill and overlay, curb replacement where necessary, curb inlet replacement, sidewalk repair, sidewalk modifications to comply with current Federal ADA regulations and pavement markings.

Approach slabs at the Indian Creek Bridge on 119th Street are complete. Asphalt and milling operations will be going on between U.S. 69 and Quivira Road until Aug. 15.

Overlay operations are usually completed between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Traffic will be reduced to one lane each way at times.

Access to businesses will be maintained during construction. We will notify all businesses 24 hours prior to any construction that could affect their operation.
