widening Nall, 143rd to 159th streets

Looking down Nall near 143rdNall Avenue is part of the 2007 thoroughfare widening program.

This $12 million project includes widening the road, from 143rd to 159th streets, to accommodate four lanes of traffic, a raised median with landscaping, left and right turn lanes at required locations, two new bridges over Negro Creek, city standard street lighting, underground storm sewers, a five-foot concrete sidewalk on both sides of the roadway and an eight-foot asphalt bike trail.

The section of Nall from 143rd to 151st is open.

Nall Avenue, from 151st to 156th, is open to local traffic only. The stretch from 156th to 159th is closed while the bridges over Negro Creek are constructed.

In July, Nall will be open to one lane in each direction between 151st and 159th streets.
