To relieve congestion on 135th Street, the city is constructing an overpass at 132nd Street over U.S. Highway 69.
The overpass will be built to city collector street standards, including a 36-foot roadway, sidewalks and city standard street lights.
As part of the bridge construction, crews will have to close lanes to work on several portions of the bridge.
Closures will occur during non-peak rush hours, between 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for both north- and southbound lanes.
The $4.6 million project is scheduled to be finished in late summer.
The consulting engineering firm is HNTB and the contractor is Pyramid Construction.
