If an animal is found running at large off the property of its owner, keeper, harborer, it may be impounded until all pound and veterinarian fees are paid.

Failure to pick up an impounded animal within seven days will result in the animal being relinquished to the shelter.

If the owner is known, he/she will be charged with abandonment, a violation of the Cruelty to Animal Statutes.
