The city classifies the following as dangerous animals:

• Pit bull dogs, including Staffordshire Bull Terriers and American Pit Bull Terriers (pit bulls were banned from the city effective July 27, 2006);
• Wolf-hybrid dogs, including Tundra Shepherds;
• Venomous snakes or snakes which present a risk of serious physical harm or death to humans
