Holidays
The community center will close early or be closed the following holidays; it will open at its regular time unless otherwise noted:
- New Year’s Day - regular open time, close at 5 p.m.
- Memorial Day - open 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Independence Day - closed
- Labor Day - open 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Thanksgiving Day - closed (Leisure Services Office is closed the following Friday)
- Christmas Eve - regular open time, close at 5 p.m.
- Christmas Day - closed
- New Year's Eve - regular open time, close at 5 p.m.
Inclement Weather
In general, when the Shawnee Mission and/or Blue Valley school districts cancel school, group exercise classes also will be canceled. To check for cancellations, call 913/895-5020, Option 2.
