This league provides experienced young golfers, ages 11-17, an opportunity to play in a summer-long league on a regulation-length golf course.
Participants are expected to have a basic knowledge of the rules of golf and some playing experience.
Golfers are paired according to age (ages 11-13 and 14-17) and gender.
Of the scheduled play days, participants must play at least four times to be eligible to compete for prizes during the end of the season junior championship, to be held at noon on July 31, 2008.
Eligibility:
All boys and girls, ages 11-17. Limited to the first 150
to register.
When:
Wednesday and Thursday afternoons at the St. Andrews Golf
Club. Tee times are from about 1:45 to 4 p.m., June 4-5 through July 31, 2008.
Eight play dates are scheduled, including the July 31 championship.
The rain make-up date is July 30.
There will be no play July 2-3.
Fee:
$130, which includes administration costs, junior
green fees and awards.
