Animal licenses can be purchased online or at City Hall, 8500 Santa Fe Drive. All cats and dogs 6 months or older are required to have a license in Overland Park.
Business:
Business licenses are not required within the City of Overland Park.
If you are operating a business from your home, there may be certain permits required. Contact the Planner of the Day, 913/895-6217 or pod@opkansas.org, for more information.
Unique permits are required for taxi operation, massage therapy, eating establishments and trash trucks.

Drivers' licenses are issued through Johnson County's Department of Motor Vehicles. Licenses can be obtained Tuesday through Friday. There are two locations close to Overland Park:
Fishing and Hunting:
You are required to have a license to hunt, fish, or trap in Kansas. These licenses can be purchased online through the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks.
Liquor/Cereal Malt Beverage:
All drinking and eating establishments selling alcohol need a license issued by the City and the State of Kansas.
