A special policy committee, the Neighborhood Conservation Program executive committee, comprised of council members, planning commissioners, neighborhood group officers and city staff, develops and monitors the progress of the program.
This group helps guide the program by advising the program staff.
Chairpersons and co-chairpersons of each organized neighborhood group, four city council members, and two planning commissioners serve on the committee.
Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of odd months; workshops for specific topics are scheduled as needed.
The committee is responsible for selecting the new areas to be organized each year and plays a vital role in public input and involvement in city activities, programs, and policies that effect neighborhoods.
