The neighborhood group is named after Crestview Park and Shawnee Mission's Crestview Elementary School, both located in the neighborhood.
The area includes a number of businesses located along the Shawnee Mission Parkway commercial corridor as well as Shawnee Mission North High School.
Five streets in Crestview neighborhood were improved in the 2000 Residential Streets Program.
