There are a lot of materials that we can't collect in our programs, but that doesn't mean they aren't recyclable. Here is a short list with more materials and outlets.
Aluminum:

Cell Batteries:
Button cell batteries often contain high levels of mercury or silver which can be reclaimed for reuse and kept out of the environment.
These retailers will gladly recycle, at no cost, any used button cell batteries:

Cell phones - working:
Any cell phone can dial 911 in an emergency - regular service is not required. Think of someone who might need a phone for emergencies only.
Most network-owned cellular telephone stores offer kiosks where old cell phones can be dropped off and recycled.
Compact fluorescent light bulbs:
Motor oil:
Used oil is persistent in the environment. Spilled oil will wash off streets and into streams and rivers. Oil disposed of in the trash with the rest of your garbage will most likely spill somewhere in your neighborhood or cause problems at the landfill where it is buried.
