A home fire safety presentation begins with information about smoke detectors - your first line of defense in a fire. How often should you test them? How old is too old? Where should they be located? How many?

Participants also learn about the importance of a fire escape plan and holding regular fire drills. Proper address numbers and where they should be located on the outside of the home is also discussed.

These are just a few of the topics. We can place emphasis any aspect of the presentation that your group is particularly interested in, i.e. smoke detectors. We will accomodate these types of requests whenever possible.

The actual presentation lasts between 15 and 30 minutes, depending on the presentation requests. After that, the speaker will take questions. Some presentations are over in 35 minutes; others go a full hour because of the questions from the audience.
