CPR Facts:
- 75 to 80 percent of all cardiac arrests happen at home. Learning CPR can literally mean the difference between life and death for your family!
- Immediate and effective CPR can double your chances of survival.
- 95 percent of sudden cardiac arrest victims die before they reach the hospital.
- If CPR is not provided, a sudden cardiac arrest victim's chance for survival drops 7 percent to 10 percent for every minute of delay until defibrillation.
- Sudden cardiac arrest claims about 335,000 victims every year - that's about 900 each day!
