The city maintains over 400 miles of sidewalk. Cracked or settled sidewalks are the most common defects. If the defect also is causing a tripping hazard, the sidewalk will be temporarily repaired using a sidewalk grinder. The temporary repair is meant to hold for several years, until it can be scheduled for permanent replacement.

A defective sidewalk may be reported by calling 913/327-6600 or by emailing PublicWorksMaintenance@opkansas.org. Please provide the following information:
