Citizens may contact the city to request new traffic signals, street lights or traffic signs.
When a request is made, the Traffic Services Division studies the location to determine whether a signal, light or sign is warranted and needed according to the city's policies, or whether something else can be done to address the problem.
Requests can be submitted in three ways:
- E-mail engineer@opkansas.org with a detailed description of your request, along with a contact name and address.
- Call the Traffic Services Division from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, 913/895-6027.
- Mail a letter to: City Traffic Engineer
City Hall, 8500 Santa Fe Drive
