The Finance, Budget and Administration Department administers the city's financial planning and budgeting systems. This information assists the City Council in making policy decisions about public funds and providing services in the most efficient and effective manner possible.
The department also is responsible for safekeeping of funds, payment of city bills and maintaining all financial records.
Overland Park has a long-standing record of fiscal responsibility based upon sound financial planning and budgeting. These factors have helped the city earn a triple-A bond rating from Standard and Poor's and Moody's Investor's Service for 19 consecutive years.
