This board is entrusted with investment and disbursement of the Fire Department Retirement Plan assets, a defined benefit plan for firefighters and emergency medical services technicians.

The board ensures that the plan conforms to IRS regulations, that assets earn maximum returns without sacrificing security and that participants are assured of receiving their vested portion on retirement/termination.

Meetings are usually held in Conference Room 1 of City Hall, 8500 Santa Fe Drive (map). The board usually meets the second Thursday of the second month of every quarter (February, May, August, November) at 3 p.m.
