There are two pending annexation requests in the City of Overland Park:
- The city's proposal to annex 15 square miles from the county; and
- Property owners requesting to be annexed
A portion of the first request was approved by the Johnson County Board of County Commissioners Feb. 21.
At a special meeting March 7, the City Council annexed the land approved for annexation by the Johnson County Commissioners, and also passed several related grandfathering ordinances and a resolution.
