Held public hearing regarding the 2007 Master Plan and approved City Council Ordinance No. OPMP-2656, adopting the Overland Park, Kansas, 2007 Master Plan and repealing Ordinance No. OPMP-2610.
Held public hearing regarding the 2007 Official Street Map and approved Ordinance No. CSM-2657, adopting the Street Network Map as the Official Street Map (2007) of the city and repealing Ordinance No. CSM-2611.
Held public hearing regarding the creation of a Transportation Development District in the vicinity of the southeast corner of 95th Street and Quivira and approved Resolution No. 3620, authorizing the creation of a Transportation Development District in the southeast corner of 95th Street and Quivira; authorizing the making of certain transportation projects relating thereto; approving the maximum cost of such transportation projects; providing for the method of financing; authorizing the imposition of a Transportation Development District Sales Tax within the Transportation Development District; establishing a method of collection of such sales tax and providing for the segregation of such sales tax revenues for the payment of the costs of certain transportation projects within said Transportation Development District (Oak Park Mall project).

Heard report from Special Community Development Committee meeting held Sept. 17, 2007, and authorized the Mayor to execute the Consent to Annexation, directed that the Consent be filed with the City Clerk, and approved Ordinance No. A-2699, incorporating and annexing the City’s Fire Station Land in Johnson County, Kansas, located at the southeast corner of 159th Street and Metcalf, into the city limits and boundaries of the city.
Accepted Report to the Governing Body No. 06-03 regarding the abatement of the dangerous and unsafe structure at 6109 W. 90th St., and continued the public hearing to Feb. 11, 2008, to allow the home owner more time to abate the unsafe condition of the structure, and authorized releasing the insurance funds on deposit with the city if the project is completed before that date.
Accepted bid from Missouri Pavement Maintenance, Inc., in the amount of $473,000 for the 2007 Crack Seal Program, Part 3.
Approved Supplemental Agreement No. 1 with Olsson Associates for continued services, Phase 2, for Storm Water Treatment Ordinance Implementation Support in the additional amount of $43,000.
NON-AGENDA ITEM: Authorized outside counsel to execute a Stipulation and Agreement in Case No. 07KCPE905RTS pending at the Kansas Corporation Commission and to advise the Corporation Commission that the City of Overland Park as a participant of the Midwest Utility Users Group consents to the terms of the agreement subject to the concerns presented in testimony filed on behalf of the Midwest Utility Users Group.
Accepted proposal from Mission Electronics in the amount of $26,147 for replacement of three projectors in the Police Dispatch area at the Command and Control Center at the Fire Training Center.
