Committee Items:- Agreement – Board of County Commissioners of Johnson County, City of Olathe and City of Shawnee for the joint application of a Department of Justice Grant in the amount of $100,529 for further development of video surveillance capability;
- Agreement – Intergraph Corporation to provide maintenance for the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Records Management System (RMS) and Mobile Data Comuters (MDC) for a two-year period of time in the amount of $426,632, to be paid by user agencies;
- Waive bid process and authorization to negotiate purchase with GSA Advantage for the purchase of Misonix Evidence Drying Cabinet in the amount of $13,264.25 plus shipping costs;
- Waive bid process and authorization to negotiate purchase with Automated Business Systems using Kansas State purchasing contract for the purchase of property room shelving in the amount of $279,485.50.
- Approved an agreement with Head Start of Shawnee Mission, Inc., to provide a Community Development Block Grant in the amount of $15,000 for childcare scholarship assistance for the Early Head Start Program for income-eligible Overland Park families.
- Approved authority to award contract and commitment of city funds to Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) for traffic signal upgrade and geometric improvements at 151st Street and U.S. 69 Highway intersection improvements in the amount of $40,293.49.

- Approved Ordinance No. ZRR-2676 - Imposing a limited and temporary moratorium upon accepting applications for issuance of a sign permit for any multiple tenant monument signs until passage and implementation of amendments to the Unified Development Ordinance pertaining to standards and requirements for monument signs or until Oct. 15, 2007, and any extensions thereto, whichever first occurs, and adding an amendment to continue the moratorium until the effective date of the ordinance.
