Held public hearing on the 2008-2012 Capital Improvements Program (CIP) and scheduled adoption of the CIP for budget planning purposes for the February 12, 2007, City Council meeting.
Approved reappointments to the Civil Service Commission for Jan Sanders Willits and Gus Ramirez for a term from January 1, 2007, to January 1, 2010.
Approved reappointments to the Arts and Recreation Foundation of Overland Park for David W. Newcomer, Nancy Yates, and Vicki Lilly for a term of office from November 1, 2006, to November 1, 2009.
Reported from Committee of the Whole meeting that the Committee discussed public financing, including the possibility of Tax Increment Financing and other possibilities for the Market Lofts project at 80th Street and Marty and the Cherokee South project at 95th Street and Antioch, and directed staff to proceed with exploring, analyzing and evaluating those proposals.

Waived bidding process and approved agreement with Kansas Correction Industries for 2007 microfilm services for the Planning and Development Services Department.
Approved bid tabulation from Drexell Technologies for one Hewlett-Packard Designjet Printer for a total amount of $12,910, which included a three-year support package extended warranty and a trade-in value.
Approved waiver of the bid process and authorization to purchase equipment from Laser Specialists, Inc., for one Leica 1203 Total Station Surveying Equipment for a total cost of $14,150.
Approved Supplemental Agreement No. 1 with Bartlett and West Engineers for design services for the Tuileries Storm Drainage Improvements located at 107th Street and Barkley in an additional amount of $42,990.
Approved Supplemental Agreement No. 2 with HNTB Corporation to design services for 132nd Street and U.S. 69 Highway in an additional amount of $339,000.
Approved Supplemental Agreement No. 2 with George Butler Associates for additional services on the 143rd Street, Antioch to Metcalf project for an additional fee of $79,724.92
Approved Agreement with Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) for the design and construction of the first phase of Operation Green Light in the amount of $158,844
Approved contract with Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) for Federal-Aid Road Construction Project Non-Federal-Aid Construc-tion Engineering Inspection by City for Metcalf Widening and Overlay Improvements from South of I-435 to 99th Street (KDOT Project No. 46 N-0314-01).
