agreement with the Secretary of Transportation for the State of Kansas
for the construction of a bicycle/pedestrian path along Tomahawk Creek
from Metcalf to Antioch.
- Accepted low bid from Crown Landscape & Design,
in the amount of $99,985.92, for park mowing for 2005 and 2006.
- Accepted
low bid from Crown Landscape & Design, in the amount
of $64,894.70, for facilities mowing and irrigation for 2005 and 2006.
- Rejected
all bids for the rental and operation of heavy equipment, with the project
to be re-bid in January 2005.
- Approved a waiver of the bid process and authorized
staff to negotiate a contract with Bratwear for the sole source purchase
of police uniforms.
- Approved agreement with Cargill Incorporated – Deicing
Technologies, in the amount of $250,000, for rock salt from January 1,
2005, through December 31, 2005, with an option for renewal for two successive
one-year periods.
- Approved Resolution No. 3435, describing the corporate
limits and boundaries of the City.
- Accepted bid from Drexel Technologies for
a digital scanner/printer/ copier, in the amount of $32,995 without a
trade-in; $27,995 with a trade-in; and a maintenance agreement cost of
$2,088 per year.
- Approved the following Planning Commission Consent Agenda
items, as stipulated:
- Acceptance of Right-of-Way, Final Plat No. 2004-110, Windsor Hills Seventh Plat, vicinity of 151st Street and Knox;

- Mr. Thomas C. "Tim" Owens
announced that after 24 years of service on the Council, he will not be filing
for reelection to his Council position.
- Recessed into an executive session for the purpose of discussing matters subject to the attorney/client privilege, relating to the pending appeal of the award in the matter of the City's condemnation of the Accent Sound property, Case No. 03 CV 06093 in the Johnson County District Court.
