Agreements: Agreement – American Society of Composers, Authors
and Publishers (ASCAP), for license to play live and mechanical music
on City premises and at City sponsored events. Agreement – Broadcast
Music, Inc. (BMI), for license to play live and mechanical music at
City premises and at City sponsored events.
- Approved bid tabulation for Traffic Signal Equipment
for the widening of Metcalf, College Boulevard to 123rd Street, awarding
the LED Kits to Mid American Signal, Inc., in the amount of $27,811 and
awarding the traffic signal poles to Reliapole Solutions, Inc., in the amount
of $50,000.
- Approved an Agreement with Christ Evangelical Lutheran
Church of Lenexa, Kansas, for street construction of the unfinished portions
of Nieman Road and Indian Creek Parkway north of 119th Street.
- Announced a date change for the Finance, Administration
and Economic Development meeting from November 20, 2002 to November 19,
2002.
- Approved Application for New Drinking Establishment
License and Renewal of Drinking Establishment Licenses as listed on the
agenda.
- Approved the Community Development Committee’s
recommendation to solicit proposals to lease or rent the Tomahawk Ridge
Elementary School to any non-profit entity on a highest and best offer basis
for one to two years.
- Presented an informational item concerning the de-annexation of a small tract of land within “Tallgrass at the Wilderness” Subdivision located at the northeast corner of 167th Street and Nall Avenue that will result in a public hearing to be held before the City Council on December 9, 2002.
