A manual on how to take care of a child?
April 14, 2010
For parents, it doesn't have all the answers, but more importantly, for potential babysitters, it is a great starting point.
Parents sometimes wish for a manual on how to raise a child. For babysitters, a manual exists.
Kids, improve your job skills by attending a child and baby safety class.
From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 24, at the Tomahawk Ridge Community Center, 11902 Lowell, kids can discuss and learn more about CPR, first aid, emergencies, playtime, holding, feeding, diaper changing, stranger alert, hand washing, bedtime tricks, interacting with parents and more.
A manual, certification and lunch will be provided.
It is open to kids 11 to 15 years old. Class size is limited to 30. The fee is $30 for members of the community center, $35 for non-members.
